Office Manager

The Business:

Hammer Down River Excursions is all about wanting to show people what it’s like to fish and tour the Salmon River and Hells Canyon like a local!

Hammer Down River Excursions employs several Professional Guides and Office Employees that are passionate about giving the best experience possible-The Trip of a Lifetime! We value each guest and want everyone to feel at home whether it is on our boats, in our office, or over a phone conversation! Authenticity is key to us.

Hammer Down River Excursions has two sibling companies:

  • 1960 brews provides a small selection of beer and wine along with niche items in the gift shop along with an espresso bar
  • Hammer Down Boat Repair, provides exclusive jet boat upgrades and modifications.

Experience: 1 to 2 years

Location: White Bird, Idaho

Education: Experience managing an office, overseeing employees, scheduling, delegating tasks

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the go-to person for all office needs
  • Manage various web applications used within the company (e.g. account updates and user provisioning), work closely with marketing manager on questions and advertising on multiple platforms
  • Social Media managements by keeping up with customer interaction
  • Maintain a clean, organized, functional and comfortable office space
  • Manage schedules of employees and office staffing
  • Order and manage office / kitchen supplies
  • Ensure proper function of all office equipment
  • Coordinate events (e.g. meetings, reservations, trips, customer requests, meals, appointments) and travel arrangements
  • Perform administrative duties (filing, shipping, distributing mails, etc.)
  • Support on-boarding and off-boarding process for team members
  • Maintain a welcoming atmosphere as our culture representatives
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualification

  • 1+ years of office administration and management experience
  • Tech savvy and ability to problem solve IT issues
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google apps, and other web applications
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: upbeat, can-do attitude, friendly and professional
  • Responsible time management skills
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and comfortable with a fast-paced startup environment
  • Strong desire to assist others and take on additional responsibilities

Schedule:

  • Flexible schedule, requires some weekends, no holidays
  • Hours per day may fluctuate with some availability to work from home.

Barista/Bartender

Schedule:

  • Flexible schedule, Morning and Evening shifts available
  • Must be available Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares espresso and cocktail orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
  • Prepares appetizers and food orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
  • Enters orders accurately into POS device and online reservation system; accepts cash and charge payments.
  • Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area.
  • Communicate by phone, email, or in person to take and book .
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
  • Cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments.
  • Greets customers courteously and interacts in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction. Relays relevant concerns from customers to supervisors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:

  • Must be 19 yo
  • Demonstrates the ability to interact and communicate effectively and respectfully with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner
  • Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
  • Requires the ability to learn and maintain knowledge of our products and procedures
  • Some cash handling and customer service experience preferred
  • Is responsible, reliable, and maintains a professional demeanor
  • Willingness to be cross-trained
  • Commitment to excellence in your job
  • Availability to work in shifts as needed
  • Sunday availability
  • Access to reliable transportation

 Cook

Schedule:

  • Part or Full-time work available
  • Evenings of all scheduled dinners and 1906 Brews events must be present to serve dinners and clean kitchen at end of day

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares breakfast, lunches and dinners for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
  • Keeps 1906 Brews menu items fully stocked
  • Kitchen inventory and ordering through Shamrock food service
  • Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area.
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
  • Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils.
  • Ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards.
  • Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
  • Cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments.
  • Greets customers courteously and interacts in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction. Relays relevant concerns from customers to supervisors.
  • Serves customers quickly and efficiently, and prevents delays in serving lines.
  • Ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards. Serves food neatly and attractively per standard.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrates the ability to interact and communicate effectively and respectfully with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner
  • Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
